History of the Marinaut 215
6 Jan 10 - Hull #1 is in the mold!
6 Jan 10 - The deck/hull mold is laid up and the coring patterns are being laid out in this photo.
2010
12 Jan 10 - This photo shows the high density foam used in the transom of the boat.  There is no structural wood in the Marinaut 215; the only wood in the boat is used for cabinetry and trim.
20 Jan 2010 - With the hull and the deck/cabin laid up and cured the deck/cabin mold is placed on top of the hull mold and aligned with the built-in "dimples" then bolted together.  This ensures that no human error is introduced in the process.
20 Jan 2010 - This photo shows the closeness of the fit between the deck and hull molds.  The join line is in the middle of the photo in about the center of the "orangish" colored stripe.  That's with no filler, etc.
20 Jan 10 - The interior is being started.  Here work is underway on the v-berth area.
27 Jan 10 - Work continues on the interior.  The v-berth area is done in this photo along with the cabinet flats and the helm area is being completed.
1 Feb 10 - The interior plug has been finished as well as the aft bulkhead support plugs.  Also shown are the plywood templates for the fuel tanks.
9 March 10 - All the work on the interior and cockpit plug lead to this point so that the floor (sole) mold could be made.  The Marinaut has a 1-piece "floor" from the transom to the bow with no seams.
31 March 10 - And here's what the floor mold looks like all finished.
14 April 10 - Here's the helm bulkhead.  Notice that the port side (left in photo) is open to give easy access to the v-berth and also for an open feeling in the boat.
14 April 10 - The finished cabin top.
